PylonPro 3.0

SearchDomino has an article on Globalware Computing Inc.’s release of PylonPro 3.0, designed to provide Lotus Notes users with synchronized data access on any compatible Palm OS-enabled wireless device. PylonPro allows access to and synchronization of the Lotus Notes Calendar, Email, Address Book, ToDo, Memo, and Expenses. It also introduces automatic location detection and adapts custom Notes applications to the Palm OS without any additional programming.

Lotus does good works

Lotus has a story on how Notes was used to help disabled people find accessible housing. Mass Accessible Housing Registry, a program designed to match people with disabilities with vacant, accessible housing, developed a database that would provide ten statewide Independent Living Centers (ILCs) with information about available accessible housing. Consumers looking for housing could then inquire at the ILCs to get the information they needed. To simplify the database, Mass Access contacted New England INDEX and had them create an easy-to-use and efficient Notes-based database application.

New e-learning solutions

Components for Dreamweaver

SearchDomino has an article on the newly released Lotus Domino Design Components for Macromedia Dreamweaver software. The design components package adds sync controls to Dreamweaver, so objects such as Domino views, searches, or forms can be inserted directly into a Web page. The site can then be published internally or externally, with components linked directly to a Domino server.

Name change

The SpeedWork Company, formerly Market Contact Software, has changed its name to reflect changes in its instantProject software, now to be called SpeedWork. SpeedWork 2.5 is Notes R5 certified and is now fully Web enabled.
