With the Nokia WAP Server and Domino WAP connector, content from Domino databases is converted into Wireless Mark-up Language (WML) to deliver a personally configured portal accessible by the WAP device.

Lotus announced the delivery of QuickPlace 2.0. QuickPlace 2.0 allows teams to collaborate online and in real time in a central workspace.

RPR Wyatt announced the porting of Essential Tools, their Lotus Domino System Administration Software Utility, to IBM’s AS/400 Platform. Essential Tools for the AS/400 is expected to ship by the end of September 2000. Pricing will be on a per Domino server basis and announced 30 days prior to release.

Information Week has this article on IBM’s latest push towards Linux. IBM will ship ThinkPad notebooks with a preinstalled version of Linux from Caldera Systems. The company will also offer the Small Business Pack for Linux, which includes Linux versions of DB2 Universal Database, Lotus Domino Application Server, and WebSphere applications.

Trend Micro announced shipment of Lotus Notes antivirus software for IBM S/390, ScanMail 1.9 for Lotus Notes. ScanMail for Lotus Notes for AS/400 is scheduled to ship by June 16, 2000.
