Lotus, Nokia agreement

Here’s a report from InfoWorld on a new agreement between Lotus and Nokia. The article says that Nokia and Lotus will work to integrate Nokia’s WAP server with the Lotus Domino server.

New KM suite

Lotus announced a new knowledge management suite code-named Raven that includes tools for content tracking and analysis, user profiling and expertise location, a knowledge portal to manage personal and community information and activity, and an application integration toolkit. Raven is a key element of Lotus’ overall knowledge management strategy.

ISO/QS-9000 in German

EtQ, Inc. announced with its distributor, KnowledgeArc, the official release of the German version of its ISO/QS-9000 and ISO 14000 software. Release 4.7a of EtQ Solutions has been translated into German to meet the requirements of an international aluminum producer that employs over 40,000 people involved in activities including bauxite mining, alumina refining, power generation, aluminum smelting, manufacturing and recycling as well as research and technology.

Migration tools from CAI

Computer Associates International Global Professional Services (GPS) announced the availability of Express Delivery for Lotus Notes, a new way for clients of Lotus applications to migrate to the latest version of Lotus Notes technology. CAI claims that the new procedure can be completed in half the time required by traditional migration efforts.

PDF inFusion 3.0

ITM Products LLC announced the release of PDF inFusion 3.0, an application that enables Lotus Notes users to review, annotate, and comment directly on Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) documents within the Lotus Notes environment. With PDF inFusion, users can create corresponding Notes forms automatically from PDF forms, exchange fielded data automatically between Notes forms and PDF forms, replicate and route the forms to distributed users, output Lotus Notes content to PDF forms, as well as store and manage forms data and PDF documents within Notes and Domino.
