
Ives Development will be at Lotusphere to introduce TeamStudio Librarian, the newest addition to the TeamStudio suite of products. TeamStudio Librarian enables and encourages the principle of code reuse in a Notes & Domino development team by allowing developers to build libraries of sharable design elements, such as subforms, agents and script libraries. Ives will be demonstrating TeamStudio Librarian in their hospitality suite (#7111), where you can check your voice mail, e-mail, and have some refreshments. Scheduled demonstration times are Monday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday, January 20 at 9:00 a.m. Nigel Cheshire, CEO of Ives, will be available to meet at those times, and throughout the show.

ETS is presenting, with the assistance of IBM (the event’s major sponsor), Lotus Development Corporation and other Lotus Business Partners, the Starlight on the Beach Charity Concert. This charity concert will be held on Monday evening, January 18, 1999, from 7:00 PM until 11:30 PM, at the Orange County Convention Center. ETS has contracted top name entertainment to perform at the event that include, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Chuck Negron the Voice of Three Dog Night, Starship featuring Micky Thomas. All proceeds from the event will be presented to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Corporate Image Software, Inc. will announce DoubleSixes/XML at Lotusphere (Pedestal A126) next week. DoubleSixes/XML is a new component for LotusScript developers to add advanced XML capabilities to their Lotus Notes and Domino applications. XML is a new standard for structuring documents and messages so they can be easily created and understood by disparate applications. DoubleSixes/XML adds an XML Parser, an XML Formatter, an XML Tabulator (to query Domino databases), and additional helpful utilities to LotusScript.

Stampede Technologies, Inc. announced its new TurboGold Server-to-Server accelerator product for Lotus Notes. Stampede will be previewing this new TurboGold product at Lotusphere, Pedestal C116 at the Walt Disney Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, FL on January 18-20. TurboGold Server-to-Server accelerates the replication of Lotus Notes databases between Domino servers by compressing and streaming the data. The software installs on the Domino server as an "add-in task" which helps simplify the installation and setup.

Corporate Image Software, Inc. will announce next week Commerce Accelerator 1.2, an e-commerce tool kit for Lotus Domino developers who want to add credit card and electronic check processing to their applications and Web sites. This lightweight component connects Domino applications directly to CyberCash servers and paves the way for new classes of e-commerce applications built with Notes and Domino. Version 1.2 adds support for the AIX platform and Lotus Domino R5.0.

Command Software announces the release of Command AntiVirus for Lotus Notes. Command AntiVirus for Lotus Notes will debut at the Lotusphere trade show next week. Command AntiVirus for Lotus Notes offers a safe and secure enterprise through the deployment of HoloCheck scanning technology which secures all virus entry points, including e-mail, database and replication activities. Command AntiVirus for Lotus Notes will be available for viewing in the Global Logic Booth at Lotusphere.

Microsoft released a test version of BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5. It features a new set of tools for setup, network management, and Internet connectivity. The server suite includes the Windows NT Server network operating system 4.0 with Service Pack 4, Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and Proxy Server 2.0.
