Bob’s nominations

Contributing editor Bob Freud of PalmPower clocked in with some of his "Best ever" nominations. For "Cheesiest concept", he nominated "cheese in a can". "Silliest technology" was awarded to Microsoft. "Best accomplishment of humanity" is "universal literacy" and "feeding the poor" (although these are more like best intentions than out and out accomplishments). "Worst accomplishment of humanity," according to Bob, are "weapons of mass destruction", and the "Best musical artists," in Bob’s estimation, are the Beatles, Jai Uttal, and Leo Kotke. While tin-eared David Gewirtz, your editor-in-chief, has no idea who these folks are (OK, he’s heard of the Beatles), he agrees with Bob’s choice for "Most interesting new edible substance": sushi. Weren’t people eating raw fish before the millennium? We don’t care. We still love sushi.
