Network World reports Ecora will release Documentor for Lotus Domino and Documentor for Oracle. According to the article, Ecora’s software generates plain-English documents detailing configuration settings on servers and databases.

Groupware beefs up

ZDNet has an article on Microsoft’s Exchange 2000 that also talks about other groupware vendors, such as Lotus and Novell Inc., who are adding to or beefing up their Web clients in an effort to meet the demands of users shifting more of their computing to the Internet. The article talks about Lotus’ iNotes interface, which not only enables Notes users to access their message store from a browser but also gives Outlook users access to Lotus’ Domino back end.

IT Factory and Exchange

eWEEK reports IT Factory Inc. will announce that it’s developing a collaborative application architecture for Microsoft’s Exchange 2000 platform. According to the article, IT Factory officials said the decision is not an abandonment of its Lotus roots, but is instead a move to exploit some of the improvements Microsoft has made in Exchange.
