How to make a full text index really “immediate” – what do you think?

Everyone knows the full text index setting of "immediate" isn’t. It just means the request is queued immediately. The index is then updated 10 to 15 minutes after that.

OR..

Julian Buss is trying to write a Java server task to use an undocumented Domino API. It works, but he’s wondering if there are drawbacks he hasn’t considered.

New machine prints sheets of light

Start with an 8-inch wide plastic film sealed with a layer of metal foil, apply electric current, and watch it light up with a blue-white glow.

The process uses compounds known as organic light-emitting diodes, or OLEDs and it’s already being used in cell-phone displays but it might be used to light up rooms in the future.
