Lotus has this item about OverQuota 5.0, a suite of products that offer collaborative technology for customer relationship management. Lotus says that R5’s compatibility with Java, Javascript and technologies like LiveConnect allow OverQuota to give 90% of the functionality of the Notes R5 client to a Web browser.

IBM best in service

According to 151 information technology managers asked to rate the support from their primary software vendor, IBM was ranked first when it comes to customer service. Some users said they had hoped that IBM’s 1995 purchase of Lotus would inspire Lotus to show the same commitment to service.

iXOS Software AG announced the latest version of its product, iXOS-ARCHIVE 3.5. The new version includes an enhanced DocuLink web interface that enables optimal intuitive access to business documents, a link to Lotus Notes, and full text search capabilities.

Commerce Accelerator

Commerce Accelerator has been selected to recieve the Lotus Notes and Domino Advisor Editor’s Choice Award in two categories (Best E-Commerce Product and Best Cool New Product). Commerce Accelerator allows Lotus Domino developers to add credit card processing to their applications and web sites. This lightweight component connects Domino applications directly to CyberCash servers and paves the way for new classes of e-commerce applications built with Notes and Domino.

TurboGold

Information Week says that Stampede Technologies has released TurboGold, acceleration software for Lotus Notes. TurboGold provides remote users of Notes with a performance improvement of better than 100% when they access their companies’ Notes infrastructures.
