CA and IBM in patent exchange

Computer Associates International and IBM have agreed to exchange software license rights and releases in a bid to bring technologies to the public for open source development. According to Internet.com, the patent cross license will allow both companies to bring value to IBM’s mainframe and distributed platforms.

IBM launches Notes/Domino 7

IBM formally launched Version 7 of its Lotus Notes and Domino platform. Computer Weekly says that There are more Lotus Sametime tools, so users can switch an IM session over to video or audio real-time collaboration.

Access voicemails through GoodLink

Good Technology announced that if you’re running GoodLink, you can have real-time access to your corporate voicemail on your wireless handheld. The new functionality is the result of a partnership with MotionApps, a wireless handheld computing applications provider, and will link GoodLink with enterprise unified messaging systems from Cisco, Avaya and other unified messaging enablers.

Recall Notes messages

TOTAL Recall allows you to delete copies of a sent message in Lotus Notes. If you send an email to the wrong person or simply decide to cancel it, you now have the ability to click a single button to recall the message.
