
<p>KUALA LUMPUR: THE government has allocated a RM20 million fund to facilitate the growth of social business in the country, which in turn is expected empower young entrepreneurs and communities economically.</p><p>Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday said as Malaysia aspired to become a hub for social business movement, the setting up of the fund under the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creative Centre (MaGiC) was timely and all young entrepreneurs were welcome to apply for micro financing.</p><p>Although conventional business models have created jobs, innovation and investments, Najib said they were not catered to solve poverty.</p><p>"I am a great believer in the social business model. Unfettered capitalism can lead to great (economic) inequalities.
