<p>Whirlpool is moving to Google Apps (from Lotus Notes, of all things).</p><p>Big news? According to Business Insider, it is--in part because previous reporting had found large enterprise customers balking at Google's ability to support complex business processes. Whirlpool is a global endeavor with nearly 70,000 employees.</p><p>Microsoft, BI reports, has been scoring big contracts for Office 365, such as a 600,000-seat license for the Department of Veterans Affairs. MS claims that the cloud-based version of its perennial cash cow is the fastest-growing software product in company history.</p><p>More growth for Microsoft might be found in its forthcoming (and long over-due) version of Office for the Apple iPad.
