The re-structured consultancy will develop new business divisions for offensive and defensive security approaches and has installed new team members into crucial roles including CTO, COO and Business Development management. The Sydney and Melbourne-located security consultancy teams will both expand with new local and international hires.</p><p>Led by the founder and CEO, Rob McAdam the consultancy's recent expansion is in line with growth plans as it enters its second decade of operation. "Information security is a highly dynamic and skilled industry and we have built a world renowned reputation for penetration testing. Our goal is to now extend this reputation to new initiatives such as Black Ops IT Security Services and Social Media Security," he outlined.</p><p>Appointments include:Building on his four years experience with Pure Hacking, Gordon Maddern moves to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role he leads the technical team and quality assurance of the consultancy's penetration testing and security services. Previously he has held senior security roles with NSW Police and IBM, along with CTO positions with two IT security consultancies. With more than fifteen years' experience in securing corporate infrastructure, Gordon is truly one of the industry's most highly proficient, renowned and experienced security consultants. In 2011, as an example, he uncovered a Skype 0day vulnerability which affected around 90% of the internet and led to urgent patch releases from Skype.
