
<p>A new website named Grove popped up earlier this year to help entrepreneurs find potential recruits, talk to other startups and track rivals' growth.</p><p>That is if the entrepreneur is backed by Sequoia Capital, the well-known venture-capital firm, which built the service for the companies it has invested in.</p><p>The 41-year-old Sequoia is one of a growing number of Silicon Valley venture-capital firms now creating proprietary software to gain an edge in the increasingly competitive industry.
