<p>Providers of corporate social and collaboration tools are adding features to try to keep users in their products for more of the day.</p><p>Citrix is the latest: Today it added instant messaging to Podio, so that users can start IM text chats from within Podio. Later this month, it will add one-to-one video chat, with group video chat coming later this year.</p><p>The IM feature shows presence for anyone in a Podio group, which could include workers inside as well as outside the company. The IM function also works in the Podio mobile apps so users can start a chat at their desk and finish it from a mobile device. Because the IM feature is built into Podio, the conversations are archived and will appear in search results for users.
