The trend is part of agrowing interest in application infrastructure and middleware, a market that analyst group GartnerInc. predicts will reach $20 billion in 2013 -- an increase of $5 billion in just five years.</p><p>Middleware and SOA appliances are hardware- or software-based network devices designed toaddress integration and performance issues.
