
<p>SharePoint governance and infrastructure management technology provider AvePoint is releasing DocAve 6 Service Pack (SP) 2. This latest version of AvePoint's enterprise-class management platform for SharePoint governance includes expanded SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 support. Getting to Your Desired (Share)Point</p><p>DocAve 6 SP 2 is designed to migrate, secure and administer data in SharePoint 2013 environments supported on premises, in the cloud or on a hybrid infrastructure. The solution supports migration from legacy platforms such as previous SharePoint releases, file shares, EMC Documentum, Lotus Notes and Open Text (Livelink).</p><p>In addition, AvePoint says DocAve6 SP2 can extend native SharePoint capabilities including app development, scalable storage, compliance and records management, geo-distributed collaboration, BI, e-discovery, mobile device support and social media/social business.</p><p>As explained in a recent CMSWire column by Steven Pogrebivsky, "It's an interesting time for organizations on the (SharePoint) platform, and many of you may be considering the move to SharePoint 2013 sooner rather than later to take advantage of some new capabilities."
