LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 11, 2012) - SOA Software, a leading provider of Enterprise API Management and SOA Governance solutions, today announced that it has expanded its operations to include a robust presence in France. Strong customer relationships and high demand in France for the company's much-praised Enterprise API Management platform are driving the strategic move. SOA Software recruited two executives with extensive experience in engineering and business development to lead the expansion.

"We have been active with major clients in France for several years, but increasing traction in the market, particularly for API management, led us to expand our French presence significantly," said Paul Gigg, CEO SOA Software. "France is home to 39 of the world's largest companies, ranking 4th in the Fortune Global 500. French commerce spans the world, so their interest in APIs and SOA to connect diverse systems across the globe is strong."

To realize SOA Software's market strategy in France, the company has hired Emmanuel Dubois as Country Manager and Olivier Laplace as Technical Director. Mr. Dubois has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise IT sales and business development, including stints at BEA Systems, and Oracle. Mr. Laplace, with a 20 year background in international enterprise technology, is recognized as a leader and trusted adviser in Service-Oriented approaches to application infrastructure. His experience includes development and implementation responsibility for middleware and SOA projects at IBM and Oracle.

Enabling the API Economy Enterprises are increasingly making business applications available as APIs in order to drive business growth and expose new revenue and partnership opportunities, and ultimately to improve business effectiveness. Open APIs allow external developers to build applications that leverage core business capabilities. Enterprise APIs are offered to a more limited group to enable more demanding and subtle B2B or B2E (employee) applications. Both enterprise and open APIs are typically built on a foundation of enterprise SOA services. As such, they require robust governance.
