<A href="http://ibmconnectionsblog.com/blog/connblog.nsf/dx/well-i-never-disabling-widgets-tab" target="_blank">Stuart McIntyre apparently missed a page of documentation on Connections</A>. It seems that it's really very easy to disable the Widgets tab, if you know where to look.
