
California's attorney general <A HREF="http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2012774,00.asp?kc=EWINFEMNL090606EOAD">has launched an inquiry</A> into methods used by Hewlett-Packard to investigate boardroom leaks dating back to 2005, the computer maker said on Wednesday. HP said it would cooperate fully with the informal inquiry, which follows allegation by a board member, Thomas Perkins, that the company improperly recorded phone calls and emails. Perkins resigned from the board in protest.
