
MSNBC reports that IBM's Triangle facilities are poised for rapid expansion. A company executive says the <A HREF="http://famulus.msnbc.com/famuluscom/bizjournal10-25-010814.asp?bizj=TRG">Triangle will snag a generous portion</A> of the company's projected 10,000 new jobs in 2004. Six units comprise 90 percent of IBM's RTP operation: Software, Global Services, Sales and Distribution, Integrated Supply Chain, Personal Computers and Systems. The Software unit, which includes WebSphere and Tivoli, both of which have large RTP operations, grew by 8.5 percent, to $10.06 billion, compared to $9.27 billion.
