Lotus Notes gets iPhone push email

Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5.1 allows you to push mail, contacts, and calendar items to an iPhone. It also adds Microsoft’s ActiveSync to Lotus Notes Traveler.

IBM Announces Beta Availability of Lotus Notes 8.5.1 Software with iPhone Support

If you’re interested in trying it out, IBM has posted the beta version of Lotus Notes 8.5.1 for download. If you want to try it, without all the work of download and installation, Lotus Greenhouse will have the program available May 15.

Lotus Notes 8.5 – File -> Import / Export to Lotus 123 formats

Notes 8.5 does not have the ability to import or export the Lotus 123 .WKS format. At least not right out of the box. Dave Hay has posted links to a couple of items in the Notes Forum on the subject.

Issues with LDAP and Sametime/Domino 8.0.2

Sean Burgess has been having some problems with the Domino server’s LDAP service not being able to re-connect to the LDAP server after a re-boot. He’s wondering if he’s missed a setting somewhere.

IBM is asking: ActiveSync support with Lotus Notes Traveler. What do you think?

Jan Kenney has posted a query from IBM in the Notes/Domino 8.5 forum asking whether ActiveSync support for Lotus Notes Traveler is a good idea. Should IBM continue working on the idea?

Are there dojo plugins similar to jQuery plugins?

Julian Buss has been using Dojo recently but finds he missing the plug-ins he used with jQuery. He’s wondering if you could point him to a site he hasn’t found yet.
