Mitch Cohen has posted an excerpt from SDR 287348 regarding issues between Blackberry Enterprise Server 5.0 and Domino 8.0. He also provides links to the full release notes.

The Notes installation went smoothly, lulling Nancy into thinking everything was fine. She started up the client, answered the configuration questions, and watched it open. Vladislav Tatarincevs warns this bug is back in Domino 8.5 and has posted the original Technote. IBM support is investigating the problem.

If you train people to use Notes and Domino or any of the other Lotus products, IBM has opened a new community for you. The site provides a place to find or post course materials and offer new ideas for other instructors.

If you’re running Domino 7.x, the new websvc.jar should not be applied to your servers. If you already applied it, you may want to change back.

Stuart McIntyre notes that the system requirements Technotes for Quickr 8.1.1 have been updated. He’s posted the good bits and provided links to the full Technotes.

Bruce Currier is thinking of upgrading from SameTime 6.5.1 to either 8.0.2 or 8.5. He’s running Domino 8.5HF1 on most of his servers, but SameTime 8.5 isn’t available yet. Should he go ahead with 8.0.2 or wait?
