I've had a healthy interest in liquid/solid separation methods since my short stint working at an industrial centrifuge factory back in 1997, so when a company called Filterquip Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd informed me of their Domino-powered Web site, I jumped at the chance to check it out. While you're probably not in the market for industrial separation equipment, I recommend you check out Filterquip's simple, clear, Domino-powered Web design. You can find it at http://www.filtrustasia.com, and it's pictured in Figure A.

The Web site naturally provides general information on the company's individual products, such as filter elements like the filter press and cloth. The site also offers how-to information on the installation of certain equipment as well as a troubleshooting list for filters. For example, did you know that if you're experiencing wet cake, it could be due to insufficient pump pressure or because your cloth is blinded?
According to Dr. Valerius, Director of Filterquip Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, the company also provides advice and filtration know-how to users of the company's filtration equipment. They also have a forum for the exchange of information and experience among customers, filter press manufacturers, and filter cloth manufacturers.
Finally, there's a section for inquiries. Here, visitors to the site can order filter elements by filling in their request in a database and submitting it to Filterquip. I'm considering picking up a few spare filter plates and frames to keep around the house, in the event that I have to perform a massive filtration operation on short notice.
