
<p>KUALA LUMPUR: A social business fund will be set up under the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creative Centre (MaGIC) to help the start-up of social business enterprises, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.</p><p>"I will allocate RM20mil for this, to fund social business enterprises provided they meet their objectives, which should be to change the lives of many people for the better," he said while addressing participants of the global social business summit here yesterday.</p><p>The formation of MaGIC, which was announced by Najib last month, is meant as a one-stop centre for entrepreneurs, providing them with everything from financing and intellectual property registration to training and coaching facilities.</p><p>Najib also expressed his support of the social business model, which he said could complement the government's efforts to improve the country.</p><p><a href="http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013/11/09/MaGIC-to-have-social-business-fund.aspx">Keep reading...</a></p>
