
<p>Companies are looking to accommodate employees seeking new ways to collaborate using their iPhones, iPads and Android devices as part of the growing popularity of the mobility and the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend.</p><p>The convergence of mobility, BYOD and unified communications, where mobile UC apps empower employees with a feeling of "iCan" to work collaboratively in an environment with favored devices, has great potential. But the solutions need to be brilliantly simple to use.</p><p>"Adoption of unified communications on the mobile side is not yet as high as it should be, and not as high as it ultimately will be," said Christian Gilby, the senior product manager for mobility with ShoreTel. "The challenge for UC is how to drive adoption up. You have to deliver solutions that improve productivity while making the user experience attractive."</p><p>ShoreTel addresses this challenge with a series of initiatives.
