Like a ninja, it requires drive to be the best, using cunning and stealth.</p><p>Gary Shapiro, the president of the Consumer Electronics Association, uses his insight in one of the world's most innovative sectors information and communication technology in the US to delve into the art of innovation.</p><p>He may present a somewhat scattered argument, but reading this short book is likely to trigger questions in the minds of many South Africans on where we as a country stand when it comes to innovation.</p><p>Shapiro, who also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, argues that entrepreneurs, business heads and policymakers must think and behave more like ninjas by using stealth to stay ahead of the pack; by breaking the rules but remaining disciplined and by operating in a team.
