<p>Towards the end of 2011 I was convinced 2012 would be the year of social. Social Business. And Social Media. Two socials. Work and Leisure. As 2012 closes out that prognosis looks very wrong. In 2013 I expect the skepticism will grow. Why?</p><p>As Maureen Henderson points out we do more when we are not preoccupied with social. We have to make our living in the real world, and those that cut a financial dash online are rarer than we think.</p><p>But disillusion comes at us from many angles. And I said as much back in August when asking for the decline of Facebook and Twitter to accelerate.</p><p>The first disillusion is Facebook's behavior around its IPO. Remember that, 100 billion and pretty much in decline from the next day onwards.
